M.O.S.E.Y.

Moseying on through the month of March and my new artwork The Wayward Way is still hanging tight on show down at The Galeries.

The exhibit is free to the public so head on down anytime for your daily cactus fix and it won't cost you a dime!

soft spot

I have to admit to still having a soft spot for this chap... I was a little sad to see him set sail but he now lives with my good pals Victor-Laroo and The Egg. So all is well!

TROPPO

It's nearly the weekend, go get Troppo!

After a couple days of painting this up I'm well on my way...

what up!

I painted this skull under the hot country sun last summer.
This piece has been snapped up but there's more work just like it available down at Bow and Arrow in Manly!

If you pay the store a visit tell them Lauren says what up!

procrastination is polka dots

Procrastination is polka dots and spraypaint...

Another detail of a big old 10m drawing I put together to decorate the home base of some drink-slinging pirates here in Sydney!

JUNGLE ROOM

So The Projects* Sydney HQ already had a Jungle Room (every office probably should) but these guys don't do things in halves...

So they called me in to up the anti on the jungle vibes!

SPIRAL STAIRCASE

Darn that tune gets stuck in my head... Another of my pastel sightings on a Japanese mountain top!

so we wait

Sometimes in this game you've just got to suck it up and watch paint dry... And so we wait

MUPPET on AIR

This afternoon I'll be having a chat to the guys down at 2ser 107.3 FM for the Friday Drive show about my new artwork The Wayward Way.

They must be game to let this little muppet on air...

These were the last few strokes painted but you can check out the finished piece at The Galeries, 500 George St, Sydney.

mamma's and ...

The mumma's and the bubba's!
Craving a drive out of this crazy old town to my country hideaway...

WAYWARD on the WAVES

Tomorrow afternoon I'm invading your airwaves! I'll be swinging by the station at 2ser 107.3FM for a chat with the guys at the Friday Drive show about my new artwork The Wayward Way.
A bit of cacti banter never goes astray...

cute couple

Late last year things got a little troppo when I painted the backdrop for the AFR Luxury Magazine's 'CoCo Cabana' fashion shoot. This is one of my favorite shots, Josh and his pink flamingo, they make a darn cute couple!

I'm excited to say I'll be busting out the green paints again this week for another bunch of tropical fiends. Can't wait!

stolen interview and scribbles

A little while back I did a 'Scribble Interview' for the guys over at Stolen Publications

Seems I definitely didn't have my serious pants on that day... Then again, it's always appropriate to quote Steve Zizzou!

These kids are total gems and to coincide with the latest volume of the book they are also featuring my work on their website!

Thanks Stolen!

You can have a squizz over here:

toasty . as . they . come.

Thinking thoughts of warm sand and desert cacti!
Ah check it, The Wayward Way! Toasty as they come...

You can have a gander for real at
The Galeries at 500 George st, Sydney.

SALTY DETAILS

That's a wrap! Zoomed in on a tiny detail of one big old artwork I have been working on. The finished product will be 10 meters long!

Can't wait to see it up on the wall

BANANA-RAMA

BANANA-RAMA! Don't skip breakfast ya'll

CACTUS TRIP

What a whirlwind week it was putting these big guys together! I'm still coming down from that cactus trip...

This is just a one of a few but you can check out the whole bunch down at The Galeries at 500 George st, Sydney.

URBAN CACTUS

Visions of an urban cactus...spikes on green and pink.

The stuff Darlinghurst dreams are made of!

TALL and SPIKEY

TALL AND SPIKEY!
Just kicking back at The Wayward Way. My newest work is on display around the clock down at Lane Four at The Galleries

Yes indeed, open all day err'day!

WANDER BACK

I've said it before and I'll say it again... RANCHO RELAXO!

I'm dreaming of home this morning but have other adventures up my sleeve before I can wander back that way...

SAWDUST PARTY

I'm also a tradie...

Sawdust parties come with the territory, yep making giant cacti is messy business!

LOST BOYS at LANE FOUR

So it seems that my splashes of paint and green striped cacti have taken over the homepage of the The Galeries website!

For a little more info, a couple of mug shots and an interview about my new work The Wayward Way, jump online and you'll find it all on The Galeries Blog. Any interview that wraps up with a Fleetwood Mac video has to have something going for it right...?

THE WAYWARD WAY

If your wandering through Sydney over the next couple of months and find that you've suddenly landed yourself in a tripped out desert scene then my guess is your at The Wayward Way!

My latest large scale artwork and exhibition The Wayward Way is sitting tight at The Galeries awesome public art space Lane Four. Take a stroll past the giant painted cacti and floating retro sign at The Galeries, 500 George St, Sydney.

Big thanks to The Galeries for letting me share some desert vibes with the city!
