double trouble

That's the last lick of paint down for my most recent commish!
We're all smiles here at Lost Boys HQ. x

Another sunny week in Manly is just another perfect week for my sun drenched , tripped out desert art to hang down at Bow and Arrow.

These four cactus pieces are pen and paint on paper and are already framed! Too easy right...?

You can check them out down there on the beach until August 20.

and an orchid

Dusty pinks, brick, bones and an orchid.

This painting MADE IN THE 80s reminds me to think like a kid.
It's making me smile on this sunny day in the studio but alas, the little guy is available for purchase if it makes you smile too!

This is one of the very last of the original paintings from my NUMSKULL series. For 260 Aussie smackers she's all yours. x

Hidden away from howling winds with stripes of green and studio sun.

baggy blue

Letting my overalls steal the spotlight because they put in the hard yards too!

I styled this shoot a while back when my baggy blues were much cleaner than they are nowadays...

drummy summer

I was listening to The Drums on repeat all weekend... Makes it feel like it's summer when it ain't!

locker styles

I always love seeing my artworks nestled in and getting cozy wherever they find a new home! This bad boy is already taken but I have three others from the same 2013 series of text based paintings.

This one was inspired by a bit of American paraphernalia found inside an old retro school locker.
Anything to act like a kid x

skeezy surf feather

We must have been listening to some skeezy surf rock that day...
Check out the super-surfboard sized feather!

I have teamed up with fellow Sydney based artist Cesar Cueva and we're cranking up the volume on the feather paintings that featured in my THIRD. EYE. WESTERN. show to create some rad sculptural pieces.

This aluminium beauty is one of many waiting to receive it's LW paint job!

I was kept up late last night by a man in a polka dot shirt!

Sounds a little racey... kind of wasn't. x

feather babies

Working on a fun new collab and so my feathers have taken their first leap off the canvas and into 3D prototype form.

These are the test babies... I can't wait to make the mama's and the papa's!

A new commission has me drinking coconuts and chilling with my man the ram!

prickly pozible

This shot was uncovered from the Instagram of art lover @jimwise.

Jim snapped me painting up some cacti in the dark at a Pozible party in Sydney a couple of months back!

It's fair to say I have been caught up in a landscape of prickly pears since... I have a few to share at my studio if they're your thing too!

mid century crush

I just got my hands on the most rad navy blue 1950's chair!

Love how the little beauty looks canoodling with my painting 'Blue Swallow Motel', like remnants of the same era.

The painting could be yours, the chair on the other hand is all mine...

Ah I'm mid century crushing over here!!

Thanks for the questions guys. To answer one of them, this is the last of the original cow skull paintings still available.

This piece, 'Cow, Navy Horizon' is 60 x 60cm, acrylic on board with metallic silver detail and hand crafted Tasmanian oak frame. All yours for $850.

You know where to find me: lauren@laurenwebster.net

tasty pirate loot

For those of you still asking for and hankering for skulls...

Nestled amongst a trove of jewellery and other design pieces at the Courtesy of the Artist Store in Sydney's Strand Arcade you will find a couple of original Lauren Webster framed watercolour paintings.

This store is so full to the brim with rad treasures it's as if the most suave pirate to ever sail the seven sea's has opened the door to share his loot with all us land lovers!!

But hey, I always said pirates are great tastemakers. Stylish scoundrels that they are!

Super stoked that as of yesterday my painting SILVER SOIL is a part of the collection at The Office Space in Surry Hills!
